Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival will be headlined by top heavy metal bands Slipknot and Slayer, on July 29, 2012, Sunday, at the Jiffy Lube Live.

Even if the world doesn’t end in 2012, the Rockstar Energy Mayhem Festival will still definitely create a huge impact that is one for the books.  For this year, no less than masked metal rockers, Slipknot, and thrash-metal titans, Slayer, are headlining the show.  Plus, a massive lineup of supporting acts which include Anthrax, Devil Wears Prada, As I Lay Dying, Asking Alexandria, White Chapel, and High On Fire.

Slipknot’s Clown describes the event as “…it’s going to be unlike anything you’ve ever felt, sensed, or seen.  You miss this, you miss everything”.

It’s been five years in a row that Mayhem Festival has been drawing-in hordes of metal bodies to form such massive moshpits year after year after year.  It’s one of the most highly anticipated concert tours in the country. It is one ginormous party of  body slamming, stage and mosh pit diving, head-banging, dirty finger flashing, cussing, and ear-splitting heavy metal music.  But hey, the neighbors are not complaining.  It’s a time and place where noise rules!
